Dr. Suomi is Chief of the Laboratory of Comparative Etiology at NICHD, NIH in Bethesda , Maryland . His present research focuses on: the interaction between genetic and environmental factors in shaping individual developmental trajectories, the issue of continuity vs change and the relative stability of individual differences throughout development, and the degree to which findings from monkeys studied in captivity generalize not only to monkeys living in the wild but also to humans living in different cultures.

Dr. Reiss is Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at George Washington University. His research focuses on investigations of family systems and behavioral genetics. He examines the interplay of family systems and genetic influences on adolescent and adult development using scientifically precious, population based samples of adolescent twins & siblings in the US and samples of mothers who are twins, along with their husbands and children.

Dr. Bolland is Director of the Institute for Social Science Research and a Senior Research Social Scientist.  His research interests include urban affairs, community health services, and formal methods of analysis, such as social network analysis. His current research focuses on efforts to develop substance abuse programs within impoverished neighborhoods.

Dr. Ulmann is Associate Professor of Criminal Justice at the University of Illinois at Chicago . Her research focuses on etiological factors in rape victimization incidents to inform the development of rape prevention programs and the effects of rape and other traumatic events on individuals' mental and physical health. The goal of this work is to understand how crime affects adult functioning, so that effective treatment and intervention strategies can be developed.

Dr. Boeri is Project Manager in the Department of Behavioral Science & Health Education at Emory University . Her research focuses on the typology of heroin users and more recently with cocaine, crack and ecstasy users.

Dr. Leshner is the CEO of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS). He directs all AAAS activities and serves as publisher of Science and is developing a public education campaign for AAAS to increase the visibility of its scientific and science related programs.

Dr. Lilienfeld is Associate Professor of Psychology at Emory University. His research interests include: The causes and assessment of personality disorders (especially psychopathic personality) and personality traits; personality assessment (e.g., the validity of projective techniques); the causes and treatment of anxiety and anxiety disorders; psychiatric classification and diagnosis; pseudoscience and clinical psychology; behavior genetic approaches to psychopathology.

Dr. Hunsicker is President/CEO of the National Association of Addiction Treatment Providers (NAATP). T he NAATP represents nearly 275 not-for-profit and for-profit providers (free standing and hospital based programs, which offer a full continuum of care from outpatient, partial hospitalization and inpatient rehabilitation regimes), has acted as the voice of private alcoholism and drug dependency treatment programs throughout the U.S.
