The March of Dimes is a non-profit organization. Our mission is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth, and infant mortality.

The IBR Dream Team is proud to participate and support the March of Dimes in the fight to help give all babies a fighting chance. Each year the IBR Team organizes several events to raise money for this important mission.

> Car Wash - A car wash will be held on Sunday, March 16th at the $4 Carwash on Lexington Hwy (in front of Carmike Cinemas). The car wash will be open from 9:00am to 7:00pm and many of the volunteers will be there from Noon until 4:00pm to offer "products" and collect donations. The $4 Carwash is donating 25% of all sales that day to this wonderful cause.

UPDATE: Our car wash was very successful. Thanks to the generosity of all of those who came by we raised over $500. THANKS FOR ALL OF YOUR SUPPORT!

> Yard Sale - A yard sale will be held on Saturday, April 12th from 8:00am - Noon at 123 Bordeaux Lane in Athens, Ga. (For directions please call Diana Embler @ 542-6604). Proceeds will be donated to the March of Dimes. We welcome any donations to the sale.

> March for Babies - Many of the IBR Dream Team will be walking in this year's March for Babies. The walk is Saturday, May 3rd at 10:00am and will begin at the BBQ Pavilion at Bishop Park (705 Sunset Drive). If you would like to participate, registration for walkers begins at 9:00am. Please help support our team.

> Raffle - There will be drawings .... lots and lots of drawings for wonderful prizes. The ticket price is a minimum $5.00 donation and are on sale now. They can be purchased by contacting Diana Embler @ 542-6604 (emblerd@uga.edu) or Phyliss Ball 542-3493 (prball@uga.edu).

Drawings will be held on Saturday, May 3rd at Bishop Park following the March of Dimes Walk for Babies. The walk should end between ~ 11:00-Noon. You do not have to be present to win. Winners will be posted on this website (www.ibr.uga.edu/news_events/march_of_dimes.htm) on Monday, May 5th.
