The focus of the Institute for Behavioral Research
is to provide a stimulating intellectual environment to promote
interdisciplinary research efforts, facilitate faculty development,
and emphasize the value of extramural support. This combination
has produced a very successful interdisciplinary environment, and
a core group of fellows active in grant writing.
Research Projects are primarily funded through grants
from federal agencies, including (NIH, NIMH, NSF, NIAAA, CDC, NIDA,
USAID, NIDCD). (See Annual
