Introduction to Grant Writing

We hope to provide an environment that will help those who are trying to write proposals for extramural support for the first time.

You will find a link below to suggestions about writing proposals. Along with concrete suggestions about how to approach the grant writing process and ways to set targets to keep yourself on track throughout the process of grant writing we also provide suggestions about putting together budgets and links to helpful web-sites at NIH and NSF. Hopefully, these resources will be useful as you get started, and more importantly, as you persevere, in your proposal writing efforts.

In addition we provide a link to our mentoring program at IBR along with application materials. Please consider applying and joining us more formally in the IBR mentoring program. There are many potential advantages to formal affiliation.

At the end of the suggestions about writing proposals is a brief questionnaire that invites you to give us feedback about the site. Please let us know how we are doing and how we can serve you better.
