My research is primarily focused on the psychology of workplace diversity. I am especially interested in the antecedents and consequences of diversity readiness as well as diversity resistance. This research examines issues of racial, gender, and sexual identity on reactions to diversity, the roles of interpersonal discrimination and social distancing in informal workplace relationships as barriers to the career development and advancement of women, people of color, and gay and lesbian workers, and the cultural characteristics of organizations in wh
