My research on self-esteem (evaluation) concerns the commonalties of various ego defense mechanisms. Another thread of work deals with processes by which people gravitate toward or construct environments (niches) in which stable, important self-aspects are able to find expression. Finally, I am interested in what makes entertainment entertaining.
