My research is concerned with the manner in which community context, peer affiliations, and family processes combine to influence the life course trajectories of children and adults. I am particularly interested in factors that operate as turning points leading to onset or desistance from deviant behavior such as delinquency, substance abuse, domestic violence, and depression.
