My research focuses on family, community, and societal contexts and their relationship to parenting processes and behavioral outcomes. A common theme in my work includes understanding how family configuration, socioeconomic status, neighborhood, ethnocultural, and sociohistorical factors explain and predict family processes and family functioning.
