My research focuses on family
and peer processes and their relationship to child and adolescent
mental health, specifically self-esteem. I am particularly interested
in how maternal depression and behavior problems of children
interact to influence child outcomes. I currently am analyzing
data collected during pregnancy and postpartum from a sample
of women and their infants to examine whether maternal depression
is associated with the ability to recognize facial emotions and
with maternal-infant interactions. |
