My research focuses on procedural justice and status processes in small groups, as well as on violence against women. My current research investigates the ways in which gender and legitimacy affect perceptions of procedural justice in workplace settings. I also am investigating contextual factors that influence women’s defense strategies in sexual assault. I am interested in combining these areas by examining the effects of procedural justice on a rape victim's decision to participate in the criminal prosecution of her rapist, as well as report crimes in the future.
