My research
focuses on the causes, consequences and prevention of sexual
aggression. The overall goal of the research is to improve our
understanding and prediction of sexual violence in order to reduce
its prevalence and help victims cope with consequences. Both
perpetrators and victims are studied. An example of this research
is an ongoing multi-site outcome study examining the effectiveness
of a program designed to prevent revictimization of sexual assault
victims. Other projects examine the interaction of attitudinal,
personality, developmental, and physiological factors in the
perpetration of sexual aggression.
